With diesel gasoline prices recently hitting an all time high and then remaining higher than regular gas, still hovering at a $3.15/gallon average, diesel owners are definitely going to feel the hit. Considering that a large number of diesel owners are farms or farm workers, construction companies, trucking and transport companies and other businesses of all sizes, the high cost of diesel fuel will impact not only those who use diesel, but those who depend on the goods that diesel vehicles help to make and transport. So, what is the solution? Cheaper fuel, of course.

So far, I’ve described what it means to make your debt hurt and how you can do so. From there, I talked about probably the most common way to pay off credit cards, which is the snowball method of paying off your smallest debts first and then working away at the next smallest and so on. Here, I’d like to talk about a simpler method, even though it probably won’t prove quite as effective for most people.

Well, I got my paycheck this month and I’ve begun my debt payoff plan. I’m using the debt snowball method I described in a previous post. This month I was able to pay $354.75 off of my debt principle, leaving my credit card and student loan balance at $6507.88. That’s not a bad start at all.
